Willow Creek Intermediate School sixth graders wanted to know why there was no recognition of the workers who built the Minnesota State Capitol anywhere in the building. Their curiosity has led to legislation to honor the hundreds of workers with a commemorative plaque.
March 5, 2015, is an important anniversary for the Minneapolis Labor Review newspaper. It marks 100 years since the first issue edited by Robley D. Cramer, who would become a major figure in Minnesota labor.
